Re: Best Header Gaskets??
how do u mean went bad??? my driver side went bad like a week after i put it on bc the flange is not flat at all lol... kinda bummed me out but my passanger has been on for 2 yrs with no probs. i just ordered a new set of the stockers for my headman LT's... the same ones (white ones) that come with the headers bc they are cheap. u need to figure out if your flanges are warped bc mine is and thats why it went bad. before u start throwing gaskets at it.
BY FAR! the best gaskets are the dead soft aluminum ones... a couple of companies make them.they are thick and they are soft, but the cost alil bit... but usually seal just about anything bc they are so thick and soft. still i would try and fix that flange first. if its bad enough the dead soft aluminum gaskets might not even seal that.

Dead soft gaskets, either aluminum and or copper are the best out there. However, simple multi layered composite gaskets will work just fine. I only use the thick "dead soft" gaskets when I suspect a flatness issue with the header flange.
