hedmen long tubes

so i just got some hedman long tube hedders, got the passenger side done put the plugs and wires on no problem. Go to the drive side removed the oil filter, oil pressure switch, and motor mount bolt. Jacked up the engine and put the hedder on. reinstalled every else get all but # 3 cly spark plug back in so i remove the hedder install the plug and it hits. I can bolt the hedder up but the plug is just to long, it is hitting dead on the cyl 1 exhaust tube there is no room at all. I looked for shorty spark plugs but cant find it for the cly heads i got. Does someone know of a spark plug or some type of spacer for the hedder or should i just start heating and bending.?? The heads are angle plug but summit said the hedder will work on Chevy alum heads.

You're using aluminum L98 heads? With which plugs?

Re: hedmen long tubes

Don't bother. Get an NGK plug, they are shorter by at least 1/4" compared to an AC Delco plug.

I've seen others with ProComp heads with spark plug interference problems. The plug location of the ProComps is apparently something similar to Vortecs, so you might need headers for vortec heads (or a big hammer).
