Header Suggestion

i see alot of people suggesting the 2055hkr hooker headers, my car doesn't have a cat and i plan going with 3" single exhaust but im probably going to change my intake so the emissions will no longer be there, are there any headers you guys could suggest that don't accommodate the emissions, they don't inspect in oklahoma anymore. I'm also wanting a set that doesn't require drastic modifications

Since the seller doesn't provide any details, hard to say. But, things like "Will NOT work with 82-87 High output tuned port injection," and from the looks of them small primaries and the cat inlet being the same size as the downpipes, it would be reasonable to assume they're a little better than stock manifolds and y-pipe, but certainly not worth putting on anything you're trying to significantly improve.

Re: Header Suggestion

I dont know if this will help much, but so far not much has been added to this thread anyway. The manufacturer has been selling C5 corvette shorty headers like these. Members on the corvette forum who have installed them are very satisfied with the quality, performance and value. They have said they have noticed a difference and would have bought them again. And besides they were mid three hundreds for the headers and other brands are near 800+ for shorties(vette tax )

Give em a try ANYTHING beats the stock manifolds on the TBI etc they are a great price too with a Ypipe. I might be buying a TBI this week and if i do I PROMISE I am going to get these headers as a part of a budget build up.
