Well it really depends because some resonators are quieter than others and some mufflers are louder than others. Genrally speaking though a resonator would be louder and are genrally used as a supplament to a real muffler rather than the primary method of sound control. That being said just because its louder does not mean that the quality of the sound will be the better or same eather. Now if your just looking for the loudest thing you can find thats a different story.

ok thanks i was goin for as loud as i could get but i started thinking about it and i dont want that anymore im looking for best sound thats louder than stock but not as loud as something like a drag exhaust
