Exhaust help!!

On the passegers side of the car, the exhaust pipe won't fully reach the exhuast manifold, I can't seem to get it up, any suggestions?

Its a spacer pipe with a valve in it that is closed during cold starting. It directs the hot exhaust from the passenger side back thru the engine to warm up the engine faster. Once the engine is warm, the valve opens and all exhaust exits the vehicle normally.

Ok i have pretty much the same prob but my pass. side exhuast wont b nearly as warm as the driver side even wen i drive it it will b luke warm wen the driver is hot...1987 305 auto trans...plz help

Early Fuel Evaporation.

It forces exhaust gasses though the heat riser passage in the intake manifold.

if the manifold doesn't heat up there is a problem with the valve. Check the vac switch for operation and check if the valve isn't stuck.

Ok I don't have the EFE Valve anymore because I lost it, I still can't get the exhaust all the way up, I called The Chevy Dealer and they said the part is discontinued, So how am I ever going to get this exhaust up? please help
