pipe bending problems
Ok so i cant find a respectable exhaust shop in my area that will meet my needs with ground clearance and quality on a true dual setup.
so i decided to look into mandrel benders and they are NOT CHEAP!
What options do i have to make my own exhaust? whats the next best thing then mandrel? are is there a manual cheap one out there i havent found?

Re: pipe bending problems
you can buy sections of pipe online thats pre mandrel bent for you. You can get many different angles then just cut and weld to what you need.

I was trying to shy away from the hacked up looking apperance off all those cuts and welds. And all i have is a mig welder so im not sure how clean i could get the welds too look. I dont mind having some welds i just dint want like 5 welds per bend etc.

Re: pipe bending problems
i was going to go with mag but the price is always low so i can go back. but does anyone make a complete mandrel bent 3 inch?
i dont mind if i have to do a little work to make it fit from the cat to that length of pipe but i really dont want to have to make all those bends myself. that way i can put on my own muffler and pipes.
i think the exhaust is pretty standard for 3rd gens - but i sure cant find it sold as one premade pipe.

Re: pipe bending problems
thanks viper and pocket.
even Mag does not have a single pipe like the factory one. it has slip fittings.
do the bends pocket used have slip fittings, or are they weld only?
thanks again

Re: pipe bending problems
You can buy slip fitting bends and i believe jegs and summit carry kits like said above that are slip fit but not specifically bent to what our cars need thats where your imagination comes in to play.

I used the 2.5 aluminized kit like that. Built 2 exhaust systems with one kit and still have some bends left over
It is all cut and weld together. I wouldnt want to think of the cost for clamping all of those joints, esp the really small cuts
Bear in mind there is no right or wrong way to piece this together, just use your imagination and rout them as best you can
