Re: whats the difference

it's the middle of the week so a moderator should catch this one

I bet they would fit but don't know that for a fact. For example, a smaller exhaust is listed for my 87 carb'ed 305 than the other '87 setups that year, but fortunately, the bigger exhaust fits mine too. same case for stock and headers.

Re: whats the difference

I put the Flowaster Am thunder setup with a part number for the 86-92 on my 85 Z. Fit GREAT!!!! I am now using that EXACT SAME EXHAUST off the 85 on my 86 IROC. The funny part is that it seemed to fit the 85 alot better. But I'm still tweaking on it.

To answer your question-I dont know but this has worked for me. My guess would be that a car originally equipped with 2 cats would be different unless converted to one cat when legal to do so........

Re: whats the difference

I have a 3 inch cat-backk system without the cat for an 86-92 fbody on my 84 fbody and have no problems. I think the only thing I had to do was fabricate the tailpipe hangers.

The chassis didnt change 82-92

You shouldnt have any issue with fitment
