Help..not sure what to order! Cherry Bomb related.

I've decided on a Cherry Bomb muffler for my car to cure my quiet exhaust woes. I'm currently running a Magnaflow 3.0 catback on a completely stock lo3 and my girlfriend's '99 Malibu is louder than my car. Seriously, you can be sitting in a car next to it with the windows up and not even know it's running. I'm not trying to make it crazy loud but I'd like a little bit of that classic muscle car sound. So I went to Summit.com and after going through what seemed like a ton of menus, I finally found some Cherry Bomb stuff. However, I'm completely befuddled as to what to order. There is a ton of different kinds all priced from $30 to $800. So uh...what is it I'm looking for? I have an exhaust system as is...but what exactly do I order to give it some sound?

Also, aside from an exhaust cutout or something completely custom, if any of you have any better ideas, feel free to direct me in what might be a better direction. Thanks.

If ya want louder just throw some ol' glass packs on it. They're cheap and they make noise. I'm going to put Flowmaster 40 series on my 83 TA

Okay, I found this, http://www.fixthisride.com/showprodu...p?prod_id=6644 , but no where on the page does it specify that it's for Camaros. Are they universal?

Ya they're universal you can go to flowmasters page and it'll give you a little more info and sound clips to hear what they sound like. http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/sound.html

Well, it turns out there aren't all universal. I ordered the one I listed a link for above and unfortually my mechanic wasn't able to install it as it was for single exit exhausts only.

I take it there isn't any model-specific sites out there?

They do make a camaro/firebird muffler though it's the 80 series for 82-02

I've heard that Cherry Bomb mufflers aren't all that loud. Kind of like a Flowmaster 80 series. Since you've already got a Magnaflow, I would add headers. That would change the sound of the car quite a bit.

No biggie. I'm gutting the cat later on today and will be buying some headers soon. I'll chock that muffler on eBay or something. I'll figure it all out. Patience is the key.

Kinda sucks. It looks as though I'm stuck with that muffler. They won't respond to any of my emails and they never answer the phone. The invoice said they take returns within 14 days of purchase however if they don't hurry up and respond back somehow it will already be passed that point. Anyone else had an issue like this? How do you get around that? It's not my fault I can't return it within 14 days. the invoice cleary says do not send anything back without getting a return slip.
