Exhaust problem.

I am in a predicament, i have currently the flowtec cheapy headers with their y-pipe into a 3" flowmaster catback. I am not sure if i can afford Dyno dons headers right now BUT i am wondering with my setup(in sig) if i can run the flowtec headers without much kill to power or if i can take flexpipe and run it off the collectors from the headers to a duel 2 1/2 y-pipe to single 3" outlet then into the 3" flowmaster catback. What do you think i should do?

Re: Exhaust problem.

if you already have the flowtech the y and catback just use them. The largest restriction will be the headers and their small primaries so if does not matter what you do after them. The duels will cost you money and a few headaches as well s the flex tubing causing a bit of back pressure and turbulence.

Just use what you have and save for something nicer later.

Re: Exhaust problem.

is your mid pipe stainless? if so and you want to put duals on let me know if you want to sell the mid pipe - the one that goes from the ypipe to the muffler. is it one peice?

Re: Exhaust problem.

someone was just on here with a super comp set of headers already to go. within the last week or so. run a search of super comp and see if that fits your need and wallet.

Re: Exhaust problem.

supercomps are going to cost him more money and headaches than a set of dyno dons headers will. And unless your making a lot of power, they are not worth the hassle (super comps)

Re: Exhaust problem.

My car (figured on like 5 diff programs) SHOULD be around 400hp. I want 325 to the wheels AT LEAST! So those flowtech headers have to go then? I want to get dyno dons headers. but i am wondering how much the flowtechs will really kill performance.....?
