My true dual 3" setup with X-pipe (vid inside)

Redid my exhaust to true dual 3" all the way back. Magnaflow X pipe, some summit flex pipes, and dynomax 12" long bullets.

Gained abit of clearance back from the single 4" exhaust and the big 6" round case muffler i had under the car. I'm happy with the setup so far.

Quick video, quick revs

Sounds and looks good to me. I have a question tho, does it make any difference if one exhaust pipe is longer than the other one? I noticed yours is and made me wonder about it.

Re: My true dual 3" setup with X-pipe (vid inside)

No idea why one pipe is more "smokey" than the other. Its cold here and thats just the way the hot exhaust reacts with the atmosphere. At first start it was even but now its clearly not so. Not sure why.

As far as length, it may matter alittle, as exhaust length has tuned effect on the cylinder scavenging. I should have had the drivers side exit on the passenger side since its the longest but oh well.

Theres plenty of room to tuck 3" under these cars in the stock cat location and down the driveshaft tunnel. Its over the axle it gets tricky. I used Vbands to connect the tail pipes to the over the axle midsection, so i can easily take down this exhaust if need be.

Very nice. The smoke is just condensation. Looks like you did pick up some ground clearnance.

Re: My true dual 3" setup with X-pipe (vid inside)

I've could have done much better on the clearance part but i have yet to put the car on the ground to check it. From pics of my old setup i think i gained the precious few inches I wanted to gain to make this thing more streetable, as if a 9 sec car can be streetable haha.

I want to get another clip of the exhaust really warmed up, the car likes to die out when rev'd. It will rev up and once you let off, it dies. Not sure why. Fueling issues i'm sure or stall saver stuff not working. Oh well.

The turbos do help quiet things down tho but those bullets do a good job too. With straight pipes it is still pretty loud but the bullets do help give it tone and alittle less volume. I'm happy with it, from the short bits i've heard so far i think it sounds great.

I like the exhaust! Do you have any pics of the front pipes? I would like to see how you routed your down pipes.

Re: My true dual 3" setup with X-pipe (vid inside)

Awesome! Thanks for the pics. I am going to make a duplicate of your system but I am going to run dual 2.5" pipes. I should be able to fit it a little tighter. I'm going to 2.5" because that is what my turbo exits are..I know someone would ask why only 2.5".

Re: My true dual 3" setup with X-pipe (vid inside)

you'll have alot of room to get 2.5" in there.
