Having trouble finding exhaust system

drive an 1982 TA with 305 with summit racing shorty headers and i am having a really hard time finding a bolt on exhaust system. My problem seems to be that the passenger side is the typical 45 degree angle but the driver side is tilted forward about 5-10 degrees and having a serious ground clearance issue. Any Information would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Having trouble finding exhaust system

What do you mean by bolt-on exhaust? Do you mean you can't find a Y-pipe?

Re: Having trouble finding exhaust system

yes, Hooker makes a header back exhaust system that is supposed to bolt right up but I'm not sure if the shorty hooker headers are the same design as the summit racing shorty's.

Re: Having trouble finding exhaust system

Y pipes are header-specific, you'll have to get one that's made for your headers.

Re: Having trouble finding exhaust system

If you don't mind me adding I highly recommend putting exhaust or header paint on the Y-pipe. They always seem to rust out literally 2 times faster then the headers. It's not a "fix all" for the rusting but a good step in the right direction if the paint cures right.
