My Exhust - need your help
Hey yall, I just got my baby back from gettin the new engine installed and now its exhaust time.
Here is my plan. Its got hedman longtubes on it and I have some hi-flow cats layin around somewhere.Im wanting to punch the cats out and flowmaster 10 series with dumps. The less restrictive the better.
One question is, should I punch the cats out, leave them alone, or just do straight pipe?
My other more important question is where can I pick up a set of flowmaster 10series? I know that I can get them all over online, cheapest ive seen is 2 for $140 shipped but Im lookin to get some used ones for around 2 for $50. Anyone have some or know of someone that does?
Thanks
-Coltin

are u planning to run true duals or what? if so i would, alot of ppl seem to run that route too. the car is gonna be loud, especially with two 10 series flows. so it will be a cop magnet. is it your daily or weekend cruiser?

The plan is true duals with dumps and she is my daily driver. I was even thinkin on not even punchin the cats out, that way its muffled just a bit and so I have em on there. They are highflow cats anyways so I dont think it would hurt it all to bad to not punch em

If its a daily driver I would put the high flow cats in. If it was a weekend cruiser I would say leave them off. And make sure you have the clearance for the 10 series. Most people that go true dual go for a bullet type muffler.

i agree also. since its your DD i would def. put hi-flow cats there. you might have to replace them quite often, but at least if a cop pulls you over and decides to look. youll have them there.
i run true duals on mine. however its my weekend cruiser. a regular type muffler sucks. the ground clearance is horrible. i switch to a bullet type. got way more clearance and never scrap now. at all!

Re: My Exhust - need your help
True duals on a 3rd gen aren't Emissions Legal to begin with, so why worry about having gutless cats to appear legal?

Any cop with a brain, that knows how to do his job. After all....3rd gen Camaros were common for Police Depts. to have as patrol cars, so there could be some first hand knowledge of them.

Re: My Exhust - need your help
how often do cops check your exhaust? i've ran dumped duals on every car i've ever owned, and have yet to have a cop check my exhaust, and my cars aren't exactly quiet.
