Magnaflow stainless cat back....??
looking to get exhaust next spring for my firebird formula 305 with the T5 tranny, and i was looking to getting a Magnaflow stainless steal cat back system with a Catco high flow cat. Does anybody already have this set up?? i have found a few videos with the magnaflow system and high flow cat.

if you live in an area where they put down chemicals for ice and snow then you should get a stainless system. if you live in the south then an aluminum one is fine and cheaper.
I have the magnaflow on my 4th gen LT1 with long tubes, off road y and no cat and it's plenty loud when punched but very livable.

Thanks, yea they do lay the salt pretty heavy up in northern Wisconsin, but i dont drive it in the winter wouldn't dream of doing that, LOL. Just want a decently loud but no too loud but loud enough, good sound with nice look as well. just don't want it to sound like most of the trucks around here, loud and raspy and uncollected. hate getting pipes rapped off in my ears with the window down. lol

Re: Magnaflow stainless cat back....??
i love those taillights by the way, the exhaust sounds good aswell. i have been to a few shops around town, with no luck. I went one shop that is know for doing custom truck exhaust, so i headed over there to see what they could do, the guy there recommended a dynomax cat-back system for $450!! not welded. i was like what other system can u do. he found another one, he said we could go with a dual tip side pipe for a Honda crx. so i said no thank u and went to another shop. this shop is know for mostly exhaust repair and have aftermarket exhaust parts on display in there office/counter. so i asked what they could do, they oftered a flowmaster cat-back system for $500. not welded. Then i ask if they would do a high flow cat with the cat back. And they said there has to be something wrong with my stock cat for them to replace it. so i gave up right then and there and drove my car with stock exhaust for the summer. now i am trying so get sum feedback on some mail order exhaust systems.

Re: Magnaflow stainless cat back....??
I've got the Magnaflow 3" stainless cat-back system (~$400+ from Summit)
sitting on the garage floor under the formula. And I have not yet been
able to get the muffler and over-the-axle pipe to fit properly.
It has a square bend, where it looks like a more circular arc is necessary.
If anybody else has successfully installed this system, I'd be very grateful
for some pic's.
