Quick question
When the PO dropped the tank in my 86 he cut the exhaust behind the cat but i guess in the moving of the car he lost a lot of it well my question is what would an exhaust shop charge me for an exhaust pipe from the cat to the muffler? my exhaust ends at the cat and i have the muffler but i need the section thats inbetween there, im thinking about going with cowboy duals, where it comes from a single pipe into duals

Re: Quick question
Here is a link to Kragens auto parts showing what a basically stock intermediate pipe looks like and there price. Your going to pay more for it at a shop not including labor if you have them do any work, but this gives you a idea as to what you can get one for. =

You may want to pay a little more for a better quality pipe that has "mandrel bends" that promote smother exhaust flow as opposed to stock crimped style bends. Here's one I found that offers that option but they do not list a price. = http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...2422&ppt=C0022

Re: Quick question
Id really need to see exactly what it looks like under your car but yes that should do it.
This is what is included in my "89" Camaro exhaust system and should be the same for yours.
-manifolds
-Y-pipe
-cat
-intermediate pipe
-muffler
-tail pipe (s)

Re: Quick question
"PO" means "previous owner"
Here's a link to a sight I found very helpful. Its called " GM Technical abbreviations and acronyms = http://chevroletforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11094
I saved it to my favorites so I could use it as needed. Not everything is on the list but its better than nothing.

Re: Quick question
the exhaust on the car ends at the cat, when i got the car the only other part i found was the muffler and the tail pipe, so i need the pipe that runs from my cat back to the muffler, i called my local exhaust shop and they said $100, but if i cn get the pipe for $30 that will be better so i can get my differintial fixed aswell
