using gto headers on ls1 swap

i know most of you have though of using gto headers or exhaust man. out of gto's instead of a camro. but so u guys know that it does not fit. i seemd to try out the '04 gto stock headers and have problems with the collectors. these ends flare out that they are a couple of hairlines away from touching the sidewalls, the drivers side cannot be installed by moving the brake lines inward and by doing that it still almost touches the sidewalls. so those of you who thought of trying it out.. chances are you are better sticking with 02 camaro exhaust manif. since i heard they are as effective compared to shorties. but a custom exhause is recomemded (of course) by stainless works. i dunno if corvette headers work. but im sure the info is out there!

LS1 Fbody, GTO, C5, LSx truck all dont fit at all

2010 Camaro shorties fit, mids are still a maybe, LTs drag the ground

To date your choices: 98-02 Fbody manifolds, 98-02 shorties, SSW/Hawks LTs, BRP mids/LTs

They look like it. The 1.625" primaries is killer though

watch out for those 3 inch collectors!! i heard that if u were to lower your car with a collector that big.. expect clearance issues.. but then again im talking about LT headers.. i wonder how nicely they will fit on our thirdgens..

I found 6.0 gto longtube headers cheap so those wont fit the 3gen even with tubular kmembers
