Are you really sure you need long-tubes?

Re: full length headers?

Long tubes aren't worth the hassle on a street car, and especially not on an LO3. A set of shorties is much easier and will be more than adequate.

Hooker and hedman are good brands. You need all emissions equipment (air tubes, cat, ex.) to pass inspection in NYS. 25 model years and older and the car is exempt for emissions.

As stated just get some emissions legal shorties and buy a nice cat back and call it a day.

hooker 2055's are what you want. i've installed two sets and i love them. 1 5/8ths primaries with a 3" factory routed y pipe. emissions legal.

top it off with a 3" catback of your flavor and you'll have all the room you need to grow on for the future.

Re: full length headers?

Agreed +^^ i run them on my car, Of course they have been highly modified now since my car practicaly sits on the ground, and i run a full dual set up. The hookers are one of my favs. Just make sure whatever header you get i.e shortys or long tubes you buy copper header gaskets and locking header bolts of some type. Nothing more anoying the that acceleration tick tick tick tick!!!!!
