Re: High Flow Catalytic Converter?
Since it isn't a 3-way, no A.I.R. tube on it, it isn't technically legal for a 3rd gen.
You want High Flow? Get a Magnaflow.
I have a Magnaflow 2-way on my GTA & and it isn't technically legal, it does pass the emissions output & the Inspector doesn't pa close attention, so I pass visually.

That looks like a universal slip fit one. Which will probably involve cutting flanges off your exhaust pipe and using extensions and clamps. If thats not an issue, you can get a name brand with the air tube for cheaper than that generic thing. http://www.summitracing.com/search/P.../?Ns=Price|Asc

I have a high flow Magnaflow Cat going into a Flowmaster American Thunder 3in. Cat back with 80 series muffler and it works just fine. Never have I had any problems with smog. Also with the Magnaflow cat I noticed it changed the tone of the Flowmaster a little. Sounds deeper.

Re: High Flow Catalytic Converter?
Yes ,I no. No one likes a Flowmaster. Maybe some day I will jump on the bandwagon and buy a Magnaflow. Ive never herd one up close so maybe that's why I not sold on one yet.

Oh jeez. Sorry I got all those price numbers on that page mixed up. I thought that $85.75 was the price. More commonly pages do final price in green at the bottom and discount in red in the middle.
Re: High Flow Catalytic Converter?
i had a 2002 chevy ext cab truck with a 5.3 with all bolt ons and a cam with long tubes. also shot a 175 shot of nos thru it. first with no cats. then with a new gm y pipe (borrowed), and then two magnaflow carsound cats.
no cats-12.79@108
stock cats--12.92@101
carsound--12.81@106
i will be and always have used carsound cats. you can find them on ebay for around 60 bucks.
