VID: Homemade True Dual

Hooker 2460's into 3" Pipe
Dynomax Bullets, also 3"
And an H-Pipe that the welder put in ****-eyed...bastard...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LVRtrw_cqQ

This is an example of why you should stick to the stock style system in a street car. Check out my awesome 3" of ground clearance...2" when I sit in the car haha.

3" true dual exhaust is over kill. You more likely hurt your performance rather then improve it.

I went with the same muffler but 2 1/2 pipe. I didnt know that you could have to large of an exhaust pipe? And cause less performance. Sounds good btw.

The H is under the tailshaft of the tranny and uses the stock hanger location there. But its all just home made man, I just cut a bunch of 3" pipe and bends. It really was a pain in the butt and needs to be worked on to help out with the ground clearance. I would have had more to start with but the monkey doing my welding had his head up his rear end and botched the job.

That wasnt my point. You would have been fine with a standard 2.5" true dual instead of the 3". Bigger isnt always better.

Re: VID: Homemade True Dual

In my case it was 3" or not at all, it was the only pipe I had. And I already had the mufflers.

3 inches is fine.... as long as you dont crush it on speed bumps.

Re: VID: Homemade True Dual

Is it missing about half of the exhaust and tailpipes?
I'm sorry but to me it sounds like all the farm trucks that drive by my house.. Just my 2cents.

Re: VID: Homemade True Dual

Sounds like a farm truck. You need some mufflers. And a cam. I had a dual 3 inch system for a while with my stock 305 TBI and it sounded just like that and it was awful. When I put my cammed 350 in it was a lot better.

My current single sounds better than that though.
