Swapping out a Crossfire on an 82 T/A for a 350 Goodwrench. Need Headers/Exhaust
Hey guys ! Hope all is well. I'm in the process of swapping out my Crossfire engine for a 350 Goodwrench Crate engine. I need some opinions on Headers and Exhaust for my 82 Trans Am. I'm looking for something Chrome/Stainless Steel. Any and all help would be great, thank you

depends on how much you want to spend. hawks has a nice stainless headers/y-pipe/catback, but get ready to drop about 2k on it

give me your price range, and do you want a bolt on ordeal, or do you have fab skills?
look at the magnaflow catback for an inexpensive stainless exhaust system

as far as headers are concerned, you may be limited to a coated mildsteel header, but that can still get expensive. look at these for a quality, innexpensive header/y-pipe

do you want longtubes, or shorties?

Hey Nova ! I really appreciate the help, because I'm really new to this. The links you provided are good. I have my own shop,so bolt on or a little fabrication shouldn't be a problem.Longtubes or shorties ? I have no no idea, what ever you think is best

what i think is best and what's best for you may be too seperate things. i only run longtubes on any of my cars if i can. i'm also looking for every ounce of power i can wring out of any said combo. this proves somewhat problematic though as longtubes get in the way of certain things, and you have to have a y-pipe built or build your own y-pipe. or do away with the single exhaust all together and put duals on the car. this becomes a "what do you have the skill set to do" issue. longtubes and duals also frequently take up precious ground clearance that you already don't have. it can be done to minimize the effects, but can be time consuming. i propose that you look through the stickies in this section and see the different types of exhaust available and see how they stack up and what you might think will be best for your situation.
