Anybody out there know if the stock exhaust was a single 3 or 4" pipe for a 1987 Iroc 350? I always have always seen dual exhaust on about every Iroc that I have seen but when I bought mine 10 years ago it just has the single pipe out the back. It is all original 350 with the only thing being altered would be K&N air filters and I am hoping my exhaust is also factory but I am unsure. thanks for your help!!!

 

i'll tell u right now that none of the camaros had 3 or 4" exhaust pie at all, maybe 1and1/2"

 

Stock I-pipe size is 2 1/4 inches - it was single pipe into muffler, then two pipes exiting muffler to rear of car. If you only have a single exit from muffler, someone has replaced your muffler with a single out (which is highly likely - a 20+ year old car undoubtedly has had a leat one muffler and one set of brake pads in it's life.

i meant 2 1/2 not 1 1/2 , thats what my 92 camaro has and it is stock

 

wild thing thanks for the help I measured the muffler and it is 3" so it must be some type of after market performance exhaust and since I bought it used I wasnt sure. I was trying to sell my camaro and someone asked that question on whether or not it was stock or not.

 

Stock '87 TPI system was a 3" Y-pipe, 2.5" intermediate pipe, and 2.25" tail pipes.

 

Stock intermediate pipe is 2.75" OD and necks down to 2.5" at the muffler.
