borla with cut out

so I was browsing cat backs last night and I noticed that the borla makes a cat back that has an "adjustable" feature in it. Dose any one know if it is possible to put an electric cut out on the one side where its adjustable so its a straight pipe when the cut out is open and then when its closed it goes through the muffler I just think it would be a neat idea wondering if any one has done it?

^ thats the cat back and if you look on the right tail pipe you'll see what I'm saying

I dont know what the adjustable thing could be. Sounds like you just described a regular old cut out though, you should be able to find information on it pretty easily try like google. If you decide not to go with electric I have a brand new Stainless steel cut out I could sell you the only difference is you have to bolt/unbolt it yourself.

Re: borla with cut out

I have the Borla exhaust with the electric cut out. I have loads of fun with it. When it's open it runs straight back through the right side. When it's closed, it runs through the Borla muffler on the left side. They both sound nice, but when in town, I would suggest keeping it closed. The law will leave you alone.http://shop.quicktimeperformance.com...ct_detail&p=29

Re: borla with cut out

Borla type mufflers are not very restrictive and they're pretty loud to begin with... Not sure what good a cut out would really do with one.
