If you're dumping that much fuel it's a matter of repair, not adjustment.

Re: stock lg4 cat converter bright red and real rough idle

So before cat started getting red.
I had a leak in the flange to the new cat back. I had it fixed (welded) no more leak.
Before leak, it idled right, ran smooth, 500-550rpms idle in drive, in park about 750-800rpms!

Now with glowing cat, idle in park (after warmed up) is around 1100-1200,
Idle in drive is around 800-900. Car shakes, bogs and pops when you hit gas and no acceleration.

Also I got the bog run with key turned off..

(I'm a month old Virgin to f-bodies, and man am I learning things)
Iv been reading alot of posts to try and fix and figure out as much as I can on my own..

I was told cat is clogged no good? I have headers and y pipe (not installed yet) I'm going to get a magma flow converter when headers get done!
What other reasons would stock cat glow???

I just fixed some exhaust leaks before the cat and now my car runs like garbage. It shook like crazy and had no power. Turns out the cat was bad and I have a new one in the mail

Re: stock lg4 cat converter bright red and real rough idle

ok i took down my exhaust, removed cat and put up test pipe to test it, huge difference in power and idle, my new magnaflow cat is on its way to replace this bad one.. headers and new y pipe going to go on when new cat gets here!
