Hooks on the exhaust?

Hooks on the exhaust?

My 84 camaro when i got it had side pipes which were rusted thru and falling off. I bought a new system to install but it has these hooks that i have no clue where to put them on? under the car theres no rubber piece to put them to? any suggestions?

Typical... some PO probably took em off and threw em away. What a shame.

Yes there are 2 places where there should be rubber bushings in brackets. One right behind the muffler up above the rear end, and one by the left side tailpipe. They're pretty simple and generic. Go to www.walkerexhaust.com, download the catalog, and look at the pictures; then go to the junkyard and find some that look like that. They're somewhat generic on all GM cars of that era.

Glad you're getting rid of the side pipes. That's one more source of unnecessary embarrassment for the rest of us who own these cars, that you're cleaning up.
