Was I sent the wrong Y-pipe?
Was I sent the wrong Y-pipe?
I just bought the headman shorty headers and y-pipe combo from Hawks. Just inspecting them out of the box, the collector is too big for the Y-pipe flange. I can't get it to cover the whole flange. They also sent 2 other flanges with the headers that fit perfectly. I don't really want to cut off the flanges off the y-pipe and reweld these on. I figured they would fit from headman. Pics to come.
Re: Was I sent the wrong Y-pipe?
The first 2 are the other collectors that fit. The 3rd is the detachable flange from the y-pipe that doesn't fit. You can see a gap on the right side of the picture.

Hawks is pretty good, I would call them and ask for guidance, I'm sure they will be glad to help as I've always had good luck with them.

Call hawks looks a little off but it would probably work.

Stop. There's a thread about this already if you want to participate in that.
