Header gaskets

Hi guys,

I ordered Dyno Don's headers and the gaskets that he recommends are discontinued (part # 29DD3BERL). The parts guys says that the closest he has are part # 29D03BERL, they're 1.5"x1.5" ports as opposed to 1.55"x1.63" D ports... should I be looking for something closer or am I S.O.L.??

Thanks, yeah summit doesn't have it, my other guy doesn't have it and Jegs wants $100 shipped to my door (I live in Canada)... that's $70 too much but what choice do I have?

Re: Header gaskets

I just went ahead with Jegs... with shipping, taxes and duties I doubt that anyone could've done any better on the price seeing as these gaskets are already $60 to begin with, at least they're reusable. Thanks again!

Re: Header gaskets

I use fel-pro 1404 for stock sized stuff and 1405-6 for bigger ports. Decent price and I have reused them a few times with no issues. I give them a light coat of anti-seize so they don't stick.
Another tip is to use 1" long small head 12pt bolts with a dab of anti-seize on the threads.
