HELP! 1987 headers that fits with manual tranny?

I couple years ago I ordered hedman headers for my 87 camaro 5 speed.. It said they would fit and they didn't fit due to the bell housing for the manual trans. Anyway I had to Butcher the driver header to fit but now I'm ready for exhaust and can't use my driver header because I had to square the end to fit around the slave. Can anyone lead me in the direction to headers that actually fit with a 5 speed car?

I've had Edelbrock TES and SLP on my car; both of those fit fine.

I read these can be restrictive especially the tes? My engine is a 355 that's pretty healthy with a lumpy cam est. 400-450 hp. I'd like to keep with longtubes if that's possible. . Any other ideas?

Doug's D3321's
Hooker 2210's
Ed Quay
Stainless Works

All of those are options.............in order from least to most expensive
the Doug's are VERY similar to the Hooker........................ 1.75" primaries with 3" collectors
All will work with our slave cyl setup

Thanks that was definitely helpful. I hate to sound cheap but are there any options under $400 out there?

As far as I know almost every header on the market will work with 5 speeds except the Hedman long tubes...

Re: HELP! 1987 headers that fits with manual tranny?

Has anyone tried the 3321's. they are cheaper than the hookers by a lot. but if they don't fit they aren't worth 10 cents.

I saw the 3321's for 434.00 without the ceramic coating if that helps.

Re: HELP! 1987 headers that fits with manual tranny?

I heared some time ago that Dougs had stolen a designer away from Hooker..................he happened to be the designer of tbe 2210...............I wouls think the fit would be as good if not better than the Hooker......

Have see nothing but good comments on the Doug's units..........

Re: HELP! 1987 headers that fits with manual tranny?

I can testify that the Hookers fit well. If you are not planning on be lowered too much they would be a good header. I actually have a coated set that have never been run that I would be willing to part with. The only reason I decided not to use them is that I am lowered about 3 inches and just not enough ground clearance. I now have a set of the Hawks Stainless works. These give me great ground clearance but did not clear the slave set-up. I ended up getting rid of the slave and bracket and went with a dydraulic TO bearing.
