Today when I shifted my car into reverse and gave it some gas, the whole car shook hard. Afterwards I noticed that something sounded louder under the car. It even sounds like i have mufflers when I restart the car. Any suggestions on what this could be?

Did you look under your car? You might have ripped something important off.

 

Like what? I still have my cat and there's no whole in the muffler so any specific parts that I'm missing that could be gone?

 

Sounds like you broke a mount. Check your transmssion and also the torque arm mounts. Could have broken one or more that hold them in.

 

Yeah check everything under there( piping, mounts, everything tight)

 

Any idea what the cost is of any one of those parts?

 

If it's a bushing, $30 tops. If it's a hard part...they can run $150 or more. Might be able to find it used.
