Anyone with SLP headers and SSM SFC's inside
Thinking about getting some coated SLP headers but I wanna know how much of a clearance problem there is between the Y-pipe and passenger side connector. What did you do to get them to clear the SFC's. Thanks
Yes you are going to have problems. I have heard of people wraping the y-pipe with header wrap to stop the vibration. Your best bet out be to notch the SFC. I have a set of SSM connecters and SLP y-pipe, I never installed the SFC but I did do a mockup. It was really close and would most likely hit. I am still going to try it as soon a I find a place the will let me use there lift. Sounds like you already have your connecters on, but I know a few people that welded their connectors on when the car was being supported by jack stands. That a sure was to keep you subframe twisted.

I mocked mine up and it looks like I have to cut off about a 6x2" section of the SFC to clear. the y-pipe hits it in every possible spot..
Anyone?
