A while ago I built this exhaust for a friend. We used a blowmaster american thunder catback
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/exha...ml#post5769488
Eventually the droning got the better of him and we installed a resonator
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/exha...nd-decent.html
Another year or so went by and the flowmaster drone pissed him off even more so we had to come up with a better fix.
Good news is we found a magnaflow 4th gen exhaust on craigslist for $50 the previous owner did some creative welding and cutting to eliminate the band clamps but I recreated the slip joints and made new hangers and his car is finally decent to ride in. No resonance at cruise, great sound at idle and sounds like a beast when on the fun pedal.
I have still yet to find anyone that was unhappy with the switch from dronemaster to magnaflow

As I get older the flowmaster drone is getting more and more on my nerves. But I just don't care for the quite idle of the magnaflow.
If you could combine the flowmaster idle with the magnaflow drone free, I would be happy.

Flowmasters sound good outside the car, terrible on the inside. No thanks.

I have a Flowmaster 80 series on my convertible. It's louder cold. Once it warms up its pretty good. End game for me is an SLP Loudmouth 2 with headers and no cat.

How it sounds inside the car is of little concern as long as it blows panties off as I drive by. This is the only metric that matters for exhaust.

Damn whats with all the Flowmaster hate? I love the low, smooth droning when cruising on the highway, always relaxes me at the end of the day!
