cutout, any ideas that would work

i was wondering if anyone was rigged a cutout system that is immediately changeable say if a a cop was about to pull you over? i.e. a cable and pulley system to slide a section of the exhaust pipe out and back , im thinking youd need like 2 pulleys 1/4 cable and somehow spring load the pipe to return to its normal position and maybe a hook inside the car to hold the cable tension on , i dunno anybody have any ideas , a car im interested in buying has a cutout but uses 3 wingnuts, and i was hoping to rig some sort of fast change system if i ever bought it....thanks - shane

They sell cable operated ones and electronic ones. But I hear they're not the best. I had bought a cable one before my cat-back, the only thing is it's cast iron, has to be brazed on and no one does it around here. Also it only fits up to 2.25 piping.

yeah i found one from mr. gasket at jegs.com but its only for 2 inch . it was like a y pipe and you pulled the cable to bypass the whole back of the exhaust system and it just spit out the side in an angled off pipe , kinda like a railroad track switching thing , looks like a sweet idea , they just need to make it in a 2.5 and 3 inch versions , then theyd be in business , i think i could make one though before buying it for 50 bucks
