popping noise from exhaust
with the car at idle it randomly has a sharp popping noise sporadically, any ideas what could be causing it?

Popping in the exhaust is ONLY possible if there's raw unburnt fuel.
Replace your spark plugs. NOT "check"; NOT "they're only [fill in the blank] old"; NOT "I know they're OK"; NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT. Replace.
