Hey. Just thought I’d post a few pics. I hacked together a dual side exit system for my car.
i got a “nascar style” boom tube system from a really cool dude in Sparta, TN - he shipped to me up here in Canada so he was great to deal with. It was 4”’oval and had an X pipe and he has more pipes as well.
hard part was fitting it to the EBay cheap-o headers. I put up a few notes about installing them in my car (with a T56) on the eBay headers post.
I cut the extension tubes that came with the headers then sectioned the oval pipes to mate in them, and welded together. The boom tube system came 9” too wide for the 3rd Gen collectors and I had to cut and section them to fit the width of the long tube headers.
i then took the boom tubes themselves and mitre cut them so they exited the way I wanted.
it was a bit of planning and then of course a lot of time on the cardboard lol!
and it sounds pretty darn good:

Note where I cut the pipes and put in an angle to fit the collector width I flattened the tube a bit so it fit in the oval bit It ain’t going to be pretty. More work is required to get it proper Made a transition on the oval pipe itself by cutting a wedge out of it Stage 1, getting the X pipe to fit on the collectors. Stage 2, fitting the boom tubes to the X pipe/collector assembly. It’s finally in position! I’m ok with how it worked out. It’s not perfect but it will work as intended
Painted with high heat paint and ready for installation
