Header selection disappointment
While my car was at the tuner, they found my Edelbrock headers are cracked at the collector, the afr was all over the place they said. I thought I heard something when the car was running but couldn't really tell.(didn't run it a lot since it was not tuned and didn't want to damage the engine) So to get my car tuned I need to replace the headers and I was not able to find any 1 3/4 primary shorty/mid length without waiting 2-3 months. I ended up going with Hooker 2055's with the 1 5/8 primaries, knowing I'll leave power on the table, but I am in a bind. I will also have to cut the air tubes off and weld up the holes. So sad that we can't have a nice selection of headers. I will be ordering Don's headers in the future when funds recover from the tuning sessions.
