Hopefully this helps someone, I did this over the weekend Spohn X member with Hedman LT 3” pipe into Y. Also has the Blueprint heads with the raised exhaust ports .500.
i mau do some revision on the passenger side and make more of a soft bend.
I couldnt find any examples of this anywhere so I figured I would go head first and build it.
Not the best but also not the worst i seen, just have to weld it out now….first time for this bte

This is mine. It's a sliced and diced series of cuts from a couple of stainless J-Y bends. The factory crossmember was radiused (and reinforced) for added ground clearance.
There's also a Magnaflow 2 x 2-1/2 into 3" merge. All of the attachments are flanged 3-bolt although if I were do this again, it would be v-banded. Probably skip the stainless too.
A little massaging on yours, such as the spot you've mentioned, wouldn't be a bad thing.

Yeah it would have been alot cleaner if i had the stock crossmember, the Spohn ones are super bulky. I will def go V band next time around, im building a L92 and have a TH350 so it won’t be a forever thing. I have a stainless Y just didn’t feel like buying wire and the exhuast is mild steel so I just built my own.
Fair enough. You have to work with what you have.
I've noticed the bulkiness of the Spohn crossmember and it's a killer with respect to exhaust clearance as you noted. I do like the drive shaft loop that's available though.
I bought a Holley/Hooker crossmember as I was contemplating fitting a different transmission other than the 700.
I've still got this in the box.
The arches for exhaust clearance provide for plenty of room.
I may do something with it still.
Be sure to follow up with your results.
And the L92 and TH350 swap.

I have a spohn x member. My car is lowered 1.5in(ish). The x member has hit the ground many times. The driveshaft loop mount I cut and re-angled. I modified the x member to have more ground clearance also. If I had pipes that low, they'd be dragging or get ripped off. Is your car a stock hight?

Yes it is stock height and the exhaust just BARELY sits off the ground
