cheapest header

i was wondering what the cheapest headers are. who makes them and were to get them. they have to have the air tubes. i would also like them coated. any suggestions would be great. i really like the slp headers but the price is to high for my budget.

buy the flowtech headers and y pipe
it will hookup directly with your exhaust system and only cost you $100 for the headers and 100 for the y-pipe.,
if you run those, a straight pipe in place of the cat, 80 series flowmaster and get rid of all that smog pump and sh*t
you will pick up about 20-30hp over the oldstuff and have a kick-a$$ sounding ride to boot
thats what i have on my car and it rivles the sound of my friends 98 ram air trans am with borla
you will not be dissipointed only problem is you will set off car alarms in the middle of the night
IMPORTENT: DO YOUR MOTERMOUNTS OVER OR THE HEADERS WILL NOCK ON THE PASSANGER FRAMERAIL TRUST ME I KNOW
GO PLOY

Yes - please include more info, or if you could please give reference to where more info is available for these heads, great! Also, what do you mean you must redo the motor mounts? You mean like put new ones in, right?

The headers dont have AIR. They have 1 1/2 primaries and everything is mandrel bent (including Y) The Y is 2 1/2. Part # 16102flt Go to Holley.com for more info.

NJ inspection is a joke. I've passed emissions with no cat or AIR tubes (when I had the TPI on the car). Now I pass inspection with the good ol' help of cash.

I dont understand how headers can be part of an emisson check up. They only allow the exhaust to flow more freely, and the cat should be able to take care of that right? Like part SUM-G9005 at summit. 80 bucks for headers but their not street legal. I guess its just something else that will be annoying me....

You can get Hedman Hedders headers and y-pipe for $200. They are 1 5/8" with 3" collectors.

No they don't, you can get them form Summit or Jegs. I prefer Summit!

the Hedmen headers come in smog and non smog the smog legals have an A.I.R. tube on the top of each primary,it won't hinder performance too much because you've already provided much more flow than the manifolds. the smog legals are $300 with 1 5/8" primaries into 2.5" collectors and the two 2.5" pipes go into a single 2.5" collector to form the Y-pipe a good smooth transition the single 2.5" pipe is brief and you can open it back up with the catback of your choice. the smog tubes can be covered with 3/4" pluming caps if you decide not to use them. I don't know why you would want to get them from summit, jegs doesn't charge shipping. I've had mine for four years with no problems.

I have a 3" collector though...so the headmen's wouldn't fit correct? I'd have to do some cutting and welding?
