Just ordered the Mufflex 4"
Yeap, finally ordered the mufflex 4" exhaust with the 3" y-pipe that are made for the hooker long tubes. Anyone else use this setup that might be able to offer any suggestions? I'm planning on running the down tubes from the turbos to the 3" y-pipe. Hopefully everything will work out as planned.

Love the motor, that's one sweet setup.
Anyways, I don't run the hooker long tube setup but I do have experience with the mufflex system. One thing to look for is you may need to cut the intermediate pipe that meets the one coming over the axle. The pipe might be too long and if you cut it down it will fit closer to the body. When I did mine the exhaust sat low to the ground. After cutting almost 2 inches off of the pipe, it sits closer and more snug than the original one did.
Another thing you might look into is getting new exhaust hangers. The stock ones in the stock locations will work, but it just doesn't sit right. I used custom hangers and mine sits snug up in the rear of the car. Just by looking at it you can't even tell there's 4 inches of sewer tube under there, just looks like I've got a flowmaster with no tail pipes that you can see.
Good luck and if you have any other questions, send me an email or just reply here and I'll help any way I can.

I run a Mufflex y-pipe........
to a 3" Dynomax Bullit Muffler for the street. I run just the y-pipe at the track. I had to modify the stock tranny cross member to get it to fit w/o rattling. Also, I had to dimple the Hooker LTs in some places to get them away from the body.
I like the sound and the performance of the LTs and the mufflex.............
Take a look..............

i have asked this before, but never really got an answer, for the guys that have the 4 inch system, do you think its possible to just buy the y pipe and make the rest of the system with manderal bent pipe? theres only what, 3 turns? From pictures the look like 2 90's, and maybe a 45 or a 60? I maybe wrong. I am trying to decide on this, or true duals for my 406, but I would like to lower my car someday. Do the long tubes hang to low to lower a car? thanks for any help.
I had thought about that but with all the trial and error stuff that I've done in the past and countless dollars and knuckle busting, I decided that this time I was just going to go with something that I know works. I played it lazy this time.
