I have a dynomax cat back with a super turbo muffler and its just too quiet for me. I was wondering what is the loudest muffler i could put in place of it that has 1in 2out configuration so i can just go to an exhaust shop and have em swap it. I was looking into the flowmaster but ive heard that the 80 series isnt much louder. do they make a 30 or 40 series that is mad for like my car. Any help would be much appreciated. thanx

The muffler is about $70 from Jeg's/Summit. The advantage is you can make it quiter for dates, or family reunions, and crap like that. But when you want you presence to be known, just pull the little cap off and BWAAAAAA!!!!!!

The nice thing is that you can use the pipes that came with the Dynomax kit. You'll just be omitting one (the tailpipe on the pass side).

You can also buy the turndown pipe for that muffler, but I'm sure if it would fit with the driver's side pipe there. Order it and try it. If it don't fit send it back.

EDIT: BTW, I guess I could have told you that's a Warlock muffler made by Flowtech.

 

If the exhaust system is new, wait awhile, it will get louder.

 

I didn't like mine either, it took it years to get louder, MagnaFlow makes a muffler that should be able to replace yours, it's just like the factory muffler but it sounds a lot better, check it out here: http://www.magnaflow.com/03cat-back/...aluminized.htm
Page down the page a little and look for the Camaro/Firebird muffler. It's also available in stainless steel.

 

dude...the flowmaster 80 series is the loudest 1in-2out muffler you can get for an f-body. with my 383 i got a ticket cuz it was too loud.....and i was idleing at 900rpm and the cop was 50ft away. that was when i had full exhaust.....now i just got what is in the sig with long tubes and dynomax bullet mufflers.
