Dyno Max!
Dyno Max!
i just got my dyno max cat back on with the 3" intermediate pipe going into the 'super turbo muffler' that bleeds out to dual 2 1/2" tail pipes. inside the car is sounds stock. will it "burn out" some and become louder or is this it? i heard someone say that they thought there dyno max was quite untill they had a buddy drive there car by them. is it louder on the outside???

I gets better.
I've had mine for two years, and I love it. At lower RPM's it sounds nice and stock very comfortable to drive. Anything over about 2500 RPM and you know its not stock. In about 3 weeks I'll see what they sound like with headers.

Where'd you buy it and who has it cheapest?
How come you didn't go with the ultra instead of the super?

As for your last question, its what came with the set. I've ran a 14.6 with this exhuast.

I have a 3" dynomax system with a dynomax ultra flow muffler and yes it will break in and get somewhat louder. With mine it sounds almost stock in the interior but outside its quite louder. Mine really barks above 2500-3000. I'm happy with mine. Sounds nice but isn't too obnoxious.

I've had mine on about 1 yr - 1 1/2 yrs now. Can't remember exactly. But it does get louder over time.
Last week I had it in the shop to get some front end work done. There was a 78 Firebird with the hood up, and shining like a Colgate smile.
I went into the office and popped a squat. All of a sudden I heard a nice exhaust. I thought "Well I'm gonna check out this Firebird."
I walked aroung the corner and saw it just sitting there
. I look over and saw them backing my car in. I was like "DAMN!!" I got a big smile on my face.

I never realized how deep the sound was while it was being driven. I didn't know it sounded that good outta the car. I'm always in it when it's going down the road.
I'm Happy,
AJ

my dad stood out side tonight while i drove off. he said it sounded good and deep from about 40 yards away while i was pulling up the hill! im going to have someone drive it this weekend to see how it sounds!
I'm lookin' at the dynomax as well, b/c I want a 3" for performance, not sound. (It is 3" right? Which one is 3" I don't wanna buy the wrong one!) I don't get what the big deal about catbacks is tho. If you take a $160 Dynomax mandrel bent catback and slapped a Hooker muffler on it, wouldn't it be identical to a $280 Hooker catback?! Is the quality of bends on the piping different?
