Sidepipe kits for Third Gens?
No kits that I'm aware of. Used to see a white firebird of our years driving around town with sidepipes. It looked pretty ******* IMO. Plus gotta be careful getting out of a hot car!
I think they look cool on old corvettes but thats about all. On the other hand, you didn't ask for my opinion you asked if there are kits. I have never seen one for sale, but it wouldn't proabbly be very hard to install a set of long tube headers and then have an exhaust shop hook them up. I'm sure it'd sound good too. But its not gonna ever happen on my car.

I think dynomax makes a universal side-pipe kit but i don't know if it would work on a thirdgen. Of IMO, it wouldn't look very good on a thirdgen anyway but again thats just my opinion......
I have nothing against sidepipes
but they really do look ******* on thirdgens--we have enough of that to contend with as it is. There were some pictures (maybe it was just a picture, I can't remember) on here a while ago of a camaro with sidepipes. It was not something I would want to see again. Also, they do reduce your ground clearance significantly. You cannot run a crossover with sidepipes (maybe you could if you had some super-mega-ultra 180* custom-made headers that wouldn't really be suitable for the street). I love the sound of my Cobra, but it is very reminiscent of a Harley--I would prefer a 5.0-pretty sound.
In conclusion, Cobra: sidepipes=good; 2nd gen vette: sidepipes=good; thirdgen f-body: sidepipes=bad, *******

CARNDRVR i think
Yeah he did have a sorta side pipe setup... 2 oval outs on the pass. side. I'm talking about the corvette style ones though that run the length of the rocker panel and have the big chrome heat sheild like a semi. Carndrvr's setup was pretty cool, it was true dual out one side. Probably sounded good and was likely loud.
