when I was installing the y-pipe on my new SLP headers, i noticed that one of the pipes didn't line up exactly with the header collector, both the bolts went in fine, its just seemed to go on a little crooked, but i figured that if i got it tight enough that it would seal good with the gasket, but now im getting a leak and i can't tell where its coming from, and i think its coming from the collectors. Is this most likley the place of my leak? should i just tighten everything up more, or loosen the headers and take everything back off and try and realign everything?

What kind of gaskets are you using? I would start by taking off the header gaskets and checking to see if they're blown in any spot. If not, put then back on and then check the collector gaskets. Personally, I check out everything else first before climbing under my car. I hate working under my car.

I'm not familiar with the felpro gaskets because I'm running the dead soft aluminum header gaskets and copper collectors gaskets. If your header gaskets are paper, definitely take them off first and see if you can see a little burnt, blown spot somewhere around the edges because that's most likely the culprit if they are indeed paper gaskets. If you plan on using paper gaskets again, do this... soak the gasket in water for a minute before putting it on and put it on wet. My friend does this with his paper gaskets and he says they seal better and last longer. Little trick someone told him about once.
