I have a black hatch from a 1989 camaro rs.
I'm in need of the same hatch if so black but i guess any other color is fine.

Mine just has some weird tint from before but the inside of the heating liner cover is peeling. Would like to trade (swap) or if need be ill swap and pay a few bucks. But looking for someone in Connecticut for this; not wanting any big shipments made out.

I'm now just wanting the hatchback glass. I have a 1989 Camaro RS and I just need the glass.
I don't want the glass with the taillight on top of the hatch, just plain glass with the heater strips in them. (1982-1984 & 1987-1990) I think these are the correct dates that have the glass I'm looking for. Looking for people in Connecticut!

 

If your not looking to spend too much i have one that is coming off soon. Its white though. Reason im taking it off is it has about a 2 inch rust spot on the underside and rather than go through the trouble of fixing it im just replacing it with another one. Let me know. If you want it i can take a picture or two of it. Im up at school at uconn but am in guilford for winter break.

That would actually be a good idea that way your car still matches. You might want to look into it.

 

you know how to properly remove it; or if someone does i dont mind comming and getting your glass if its still in good condition. make things alot easier for me.

 

Glass is in good shape. Car has 70k miles on it. Im not really sure how to remove the metal part of the hatch. I think i saw on here though that it is held on with bolts and sealant. It shouldnt be that big of an ordeal to get off. If you want you can have the glass for 40 bucks and ill help take the hatch apart as well. Not sure when ill be able to do that though.

 

$40?! You were going to junk it... hmm i'll look around for guides to take it off; and i'll probably get it. Let me ask around forum first to see how if anyone knows percisely

 

sounds like a plan. Like i said if no one wanted it i would junk it cause i have no where to put it. You want it so it is worth something. If you were to go to a dealer the glass and frame would be in the hundreds i guarantee.

 

i have one for an 86 mint no rush 20 bucks and its yours pm me if interrested.

 

86 has the third light up at the top of the hatch. If you dont mind that its a steal.

 

Sounds good; but if what he says is true and has the third tail light on top of the hatch then thats not what i need.. :\ sorry..

I know.. but i have the hatch where the tailight is in the spoiler and the its on the outside of it.

Ok I updated the post so just look at first post and now i know what I need.

 

Hey Mike i have the glass. I actually ended up taking both hatches that i have apart. The glass that i have has as a few little scratches on it but not to the annoyance degree that your glass is. If your interested when im home next week ill snap some pictures. I might even have the knowledge and tools to glue them by that point too since i gotta do mine now.

 

i have a hatch. glass is good, no defrost strips. metal has some rot on it. 3rd brake light was mounted on spoiler. looking for $30 also in ct.

 

$25 and you can have any of the three hatches i have available in my photobucket, all three are defrost glass, and one of them is '86, so i know you won't want that. let me know if you're interested in a road trip.

one of em is an '86. One of them is an '87, which should be a non a/c glass hatch, and an '88 hatch, which had a/c
