Shaved handles would almost have to be a must, because you'll most likely have to completely replace the stock door latches. First off, you'd need to re-enforce the frame with subframe connectors, and most likely a rollcage or something of that nature because the b pillars aren't used to supporting the weight of a door, and it would probably cause major frame twisting.

You're talking major bucks to have a shop do it, but it can be done. If you can weld, cut, and fabricate, it probably wouldnt' _cost_ too much if you can get a good deal on steel, but it would still require major fabrication.

If you install autoloc's kit on your car, you're going to be crying within a year. Autoloc's kit is latches and hinges, and will not properly re-enforce your subframes to handle the reverse weight of the doors.

That pic is 3 or 4 years old, if not even older.

Basically suicide doors are set up just like normal doors. The only difference is that the hinges are swapped around along with the striker bar. To be properly done you'd have to re enforce doorjamb on the rear quarter panel to cope with the weight of the door. It woudl suck to go thru all of that trouble to warp the crap out of the rear quarter panel. Just off the top of my head you'd have to use a different style of hinges to get the door to clear the quarter panel when the door is opened.
