Custom Firebird Gauge Panel

In total, about 2 hours of actual work, probably 5 dollars in dremel cut-off wheels, and a few cuts and burns here and there, but all that plus 3 bucks for the sheet metal, i think its lookin pretty nice so far :-)

i am very interested in seeing how this turns out. i have been wanting to redo a guage cluster on my bird for a long time.

why not mount a tach in the dash?

it is in polace of the A/C vent, see pictures.

also, signal light and bright indicators?

Yeah, like I said, why not mount the tach in the dash? It's plainly visible hanging out in the middle of nowhere there...

The panel looks good by the way.

The reason the tach isnt in the dash is
a) not really enough room to mount it with the rest of the gauges, though i'm sure if i REALLY wanted to i could figure something out
b) no real way to mount it in the dash.....it was meant to be like a stand-alone tach, and unlike the other gauges that have a way of mounting in a panel, the tach really doesnt....
I suppose if I REALLY wanted to I could figure a way, but for now its not too big of a deal.....
Maybe if I re-do the panel later on I'll get a tach that can mount in the panel....
By the way, should I paint the panel black or should i leave it the way it is (or try and polish it or something)
Thanks for the feedback, guys, I think its starting a new theme for my interior (more of a "race" look rather than "Stock" looking)

If it were mine I'd try to figure out how to get that "brushed" look or paint it flat or semi-gloss black.
