I'm satisfied with how the panels turned out, still some reinforcement work to do with the hatch though.

Wow.... thats awesome man, are they real CF or sheets? You should clean up those door panels and get a better shot of them. They look great, they just seem to be lacking some contours... like they need something attached to them or something. Perhaps the coveted cup holders i've seen on occassion ?

Anyone besides me really have a strong urge to hang a roll of TP off of that door handle?

It's real CF, not fiberglass sheets with a top layer of CF. The handles are "shower safety handles" almost wide enough to fit two rolls on 'em

Very creative and resourceful solution for the door handle replacement! Not to mention the added safety feature....now you won't have to worry about old ladies slipping and falling in your car!

cmon man, all that body work just to pull some crap like that. Go junk yard diving and get some door handles from a different vehicle.. anything except shower accessories.

on the door panels, you beat me to it.... kinda.

ive been thinking about something similar for years.... except where you have screws around the edge, i would put evenly spaced allen head bolts... either stainless or alum..

as for the handle, make it black, and a actual car handle.... with some kind of armrest... similar in function to the stocker....

the concept isnt bad... athough yours is rough around the edges now, im sure it'll look better with minimal work.

btw, where did you get the CF from?

wtf happened to your dash and right rear fender?

If you put an aluminum strip (natural or black anodized) rolled around the edge of that door panel, and put the door pull back in the outhouse, it'd look 90 times better. It'd get rid of the rough edge and cover all the screws. (Personally I would have used clips on the back instead of screws.)

I agree, you seem to have a good set of ideas, but lack an overall plan to make them flow together.

Just so I'm up to date on the slang...is "looking pissed" a good or bad thing?

Hey don't feel bad, im in my early 20's and hip to the game, and I didn't even get that. Sounds like a brit friend I had who attributed getting "pissed" to being drunk. Its usage in this syntax however, seems indicative of a good thing.

Perhaps "I just dropped a 454 in my IROC. It looks pissed now.".. its a funny one.

Something being pissed off is generally a good thing like say a 383 with afr heads and an xtreme energy 294hr cam thats pissed

And yes pissed also works for drunk its a good solid utility word it does alot of odd jobs for me

Really nice just clean up the edges a little and pull it all together with a nice finish with some better handles.

Great job though.

lol... I almost spit my beer! that's the best smart-*** photoshop i've seen in a loooong time. On an on-topic note, i agree 100% that you need a trim around the door panel and you need an actual car handle.

So let me get this straight. You bought 2 large sheets of Carbon Fiber plate, which is not cheap. Then you use a $5 bathroom handle and some cheap ****ty looking screws?

lol,

You need to get rid of the nasty stock, lock and hindge cover. Add something around the edges to give it a cleaner, complete look. Then for ***'s sake spend $20.00 and get yourself better handles(NOT CHROME).

"in case of assident, pull handle"

Ah, maybe i'll find some more "automotive" looking handles the next time i'm at the junkyard. The stock handles dont clear the cage so the shower handles stay till I find something better. Either that or next car show I hang a roll off the handle..
