I'm a newbie so be gentle
i searched and couldnt find anything similiar
I never liked the black bumper pads on the stock f-bird bumpers
Has anyone ever done this,if so pics?
could the 84-90 corvette front bumper be a platform for those looking to get rid of the pop-ups? (getting an aftermarket fiberglass one and glassing it on/smaller gm headlights in the marker light location) Opinions on whether it looks better than the stock one (for just the regular birds w/out ground effects)Can someone more experienced w. photoshop redo the pic and put a 4th gen license plate cap where the corvette one is?
Tried to attach a pic ,,,hope it works

Its not that bad , but the front end is what i love the most about my bird - its different, and thats what i like about it
Interesting, it's an idea. It would make me think you just couldn't afford a vette, so this is how you coped though.

i'd remove the bummperettes and install fog lights but thats as far as I would go with the idea, Ive seen someone else that had metal mesh over the bummperettes looked good

This might be the mesh screen you were thinking of... I liked the look better than the rubber/plastic pieces that came on it factory. The flip ups lights looked better than the covers I made..

I'm a big fan of the stock look, but some custom work comes out allright. Not a big fan of cars wearing other cars faces, though. Kind of a ****** thing (I've seen Hyundai's wearing Vette back ends, etc).
As for above headlight mods, very well done, however, if it was me I'd have low profile rectangular lights set well back in the cover, eg. one rectangular and one projectorbeam, might look a bit meaner as opposed to the Sunfire lamps. Just my .02.

this is the closest i've seen to your pic with the vette front bumper. This front bumper can only be put on a firebird without ground effects, unless you customize it. Expect to pay $1000 plus $500 for the light. Not a good route to go unless you're a diehard knight rider fan. Expensive but heck, i might do this if i keep on watching knight rider.

Thats KARR, NOT KITT....
(just kidding)
Anyways, that vette bumper looks really close to the 82-84 bird bumpers! I don't see much difference between the two, the other is just a bit longer.
Sometimes it gets hard for me to tell if its a TA or a Vette, (not to hard, but from a far... ya know).
If you want you can get the 91 bird bumper and it will be pretty close, albeit more round.
Thats what I got now!
