Didnt Want A/C So Here's What I Did...
While I had the car apart I took the A/C out, I dont use it, the condensor was bad, so it came out. But I still wanted heat. So I picked up a non A/C blower motor box from an old G20 van. I should have taken more pictures of the process but I didnt, so forgive me. So I got the box for $20 with the motor and everything, which you WILL need. You use the blower motor and fan blade from the G20 or it wont fit! I sanded it down and painted it with POR-15 rust preventitive paint and a couple coats of black paint.
The picture below shows it all painted up. Now, the cooling hose for the blower motor wont go in the location it does on the G20, support "bumps" on the fender well get in the way. The red circle is the G20 location. I just put a peice of metal there with some silicone to seal it. The white circle is where I put the new hose, the blower motor will mount any direction but the nubs on the box need to be sanded down.

Also I dont have a pic of it but I needed to add a second peice of metal to the right side to cover some of the opening where the heat comes out. But it wasnt much more than 1" extra to the side and bottom. I just screwed it on and put some RTV to ensure a seal.

Here is rougly how it sits in the car. It really only will work one way. It took my a while to find this position, you have to play with it for a while, the left corner just slightly rests on the fender well, and there will be an even gap around the right side about 3/4 of an inch which is why you need to add metal. The plugs for the fan motors are different, I just used a hot line with the correct female end. Still have all the speeds. Before you install it fill in all the old holes for the A/C box with silicone, NONE of them get re-used. Fit the box and mark the holes you want to make, CAREFULLY make your new holes. I put a bead of RTV around the parimeter of the heater box and let it sit over night so I didnt smudge it all over my firewall. The next day I screwed it in.
and put the resistor in, it fits fine you just need to make new holes for the screws, dont worry about the old ones the resistor covers them.

Here it is all installed. You can see the added metal but it blended in with the rest, I will try to get a better quality pic. You may ask why didnt I just use one from an f-body? Well I couldnt find one, the G20 one was very easy to find, and the f-body one looks ugly. It may seem like alot but it was really very easy. Oh yeah, you need an A/C delete pulley to, I got mine from Summit. The room saved its amazing, no more pita to change plugs, alot more room. And it looks very neat. No bends or anything like the f-body one. Any questions please feel free to ask.

One from an old S-10 will work as well. Try 1984-90. That's where I got mine. Yard let me have it for free!

Pretty much everyone will have to make some modifications, its really alot more simple then it seems, once you get the box and rip all the A/C stuff out you'll know exactly what I mean. I'm not exactly sure what year G20 but yeah it was the mid-late 80's era. The camaro I saw that gave me the idea had an S10 box, they are the same thing.

Good thinking. Save the $100 you are charged on here for a standard heater box.
