I'm all about creativity, but that IROC was beautiful, couldn't you have started with something in worse condition? Like a ragged out RS or Formula or something?

Formula??? No way! Use a base camaro or Firebird, but not an Iroc or anything nice...
Re: 3RD GEN IROC / 1956 BELAIR
Seen it, was a cool idea and nice execution but the benefits are minimal. He stated he was after a modern drivetrain and suspension, but a 3rd gen offers very little in either aspect, especially underneath the heavy 56' body

Terrible idea to put a unibody chassis under a Belair body. That type of swap is common with older cars but usually you use a full frame car as a donor such as a Monte Carlo, Caprice, Regal etc. The trick to doing it properly is to have 2 cars with the same wheelbase. I cut the floor out of a 51 Chev and dropped it onto the floor of an 84 Cutlass many many years ago. It's not hard to do.
