reverse light project

going to convert the stock reverse lenses and integrate them into the sequentials. want to have functioning reverse lights, so im thinking i can mount reverse lights from another car into these end panels that hold the tag lights...

it will need to be small and mounted close to the bottom left to clear the socket/wires from the tag light

any ideas/suggestions/comments welcome!

He's right. Legally, Reverse lights are not required, not even for the State Inspection. Also why I converted my Reverse to red, using Testors Translucent Red, to tie them into my Sequential Turn Signals a couple of years ago.

I got a set of these (the white lights) to use as Reverse lights, after seeing them on a truck, but have never installed them. I get just fine without any, so I'm not willing to cut into my bumper to install them yet. They pop into a rubber "gasket" that holds them virtually flush. Only the rubber gasket piece that they fit in, is out farther than the body & only because of the rubber lip of it. The "gasket" comes in black, but I painted mine white to blend in with my white GTA.

Re: reverse light project

if you had an extra set of reflectors, you might be able to cut them up and "weld" or epoxy them to another reflector set, then all you would have to do is get another lense to get the clear part out of. I'll have an extra set of reflectors available if you need them.

hm those reflectors are pretty big...i dont think there would be enough room to fit it in with the tag lights. thanks though.

hhmm..or maybe since my led tag lights light up 3 lanes of highway..i could sacrifice one and use that area as another place to try and mount something. im just throwing stuff out there

hmm or some clear front sidemarkers..with one of my bright *** leds. could cut those to mount em flush and come up with a bracket similar to the front.
