What to get?? cam
I have a 1992 Camaro RS with a V6 189 3.1
I was wondering what would be a good cam to go with.
i want a little thump out of it, but also to perform well. the car only has 63,000 miles on it.......
I have ---venom high injectors
---Pacesetter performance headers (ceramic)
---MSD ignistion coil
---K&N air filter
---venom performance chip

sounds good, nice lope and good performance. That cam is about the largest you can run before piston to valave clearance becomes and issue

Re: What to get?? cam
a 260 grind is about the largest advisable on a street car, and without ecm tuning, comp cams and delta cams both have a 260 cam, though while they are similar they are not the same cam. The comp has a tighter LSA and would be the better option if you don't plan to do much modding, it is more expensive though. The delta is more peak horse power biased and has less low-mid range torque.

Imo that cam is a good choice if its the last of your performance mods, but if you wind up getting a full exhaust, and or freer flowing intake setup I would get the 260.
