No that part is not covered. It is 100% carbon fiber. And for a hood to be made right you're talking 2300.00.

I think he means you got the grill taken care of not that you wrapped it in carbon fiber

What type of payment do you want? Paypal? Is the satin finish the same finish that you have on the one you took the pics of?

Paypal Preferably. And yes it would have roughly the same finish as the one in the picture. And if anyone else is interested just send me a pm.

Would a chin be too involved & costly to make?

Was thinking about doing them, but not at this time. I was going to do the side skirts to go with it too.But I'm going to stick with smaller stuff for now.

I really hope you do get atleast 5 people to buy this work of art. I have seen more than one group buy go down the drain because everyone is always interested in the idea, but when it comes time to pay, 99% of those folks seem to fall off the face of the earth...(i.e my carbon hood...only one was ever made because everyone backed out of the deal).

Re: Carbon Z28 Grille

I'm in 100%. I'd prefer without any bowtie or logo but if no other way I'll take it as is.
I like the semi dull finish on the prepreg, I have the same finish on a bunch of debotech and crawford composites parts, the wet lay isn't super shiny is it???

I'm 100% committed to it. I have a few ideas for CF pieces if you need ideas...

- hood louvers
- emblems
- interior shifter plate
- gauge panel/bezel
- door sill plate
- front or side splitters

I would be more interested in seeing what carbon fiber interior pieces Matt can come up with. Center console and a manual shift plate would be real appealing to me.

The 85-90 and just put a naca duct in it to have the cooling duct look like the 91-92.

Re: Carbon Z28 Grille

As far as interior, you should do all the pieces on the top of the counsel. Like around the heat and radio, then around the shifter and the part where the buttons for the windows and hatch pop are. Id say the arm rest but that might be a little awkward. So pretty much having a CF streak down the middle interior of the car.

I can't this month. But I am getting one of these next month. I've already spent my car money for the month!

What about the middle door ground effects? Those aren't to large. I would buy a set. I have a vinyl over mine right now, and I LOVE the look. Carbon Fiber Spoilers would be my next suggestion...

Re: Carbon Z28 Grille

All these mentions of various carbon fiber parts seem tacky to me. The grill is cool because it is centered and a piece that only compliments itself. A random piece like the ground effects would not be very attractive unless the whole trim of the car was done. Just the sides would leave a very unfinished look in my eyes.

If someone has the blisters I can see if it can be done. You may not get them back as some time mold making can destroy the master part. Or someone can post some good pics of them so I can take a look.

Man that looks awsome. If I had the dough right this second I'd get on the list. Will you be making more in the future? Also will you be willing to ship it to Canada?
Thanks

Re: Carbon Z28 Grille

Anyone that is wanting a grille. I am going to order materials this week. If you want to make sure you get one. You can send a fifty percent deposit to my Paypal account at madmall89@yahoo.com. That would be 100.00 now and the other 100.00 plus shipping after it is complete.
